Some idea on building WaveChopper30. Please set the center of gravity to 185mm from the transom end. This value is a suggestion but by no means best.

Placing the radio box in the front is not an advantage. Because the pipe header bend to the right, interfered the rudder push rod.

The radio box was later moved to the rear. Side way hole then opened for the rudder push rod.

CAD and drawing do help model boat building. Download ProgeCAD LT(or newer version) from http://www.download.com/. It is a free CAD. Good enough for model boat building. You can, on the screen, see how your boat eventually would be. Can print 1:1 drawing. Drill holes in plywood board first. Untill you are satisified with the dimension and accuracy. Then drill holes on the boat. Reduce the chance of drilling incorrect or inaccurate holes in the boat. Repaire is time consuming, buy new cost money. These seems time consuming work actually save time and make you a better boat.

For the 6.35mm hole, the shaft outlet hole. This hole is near the edge. Drilling large hole near the edge easily crack the body. Use small bore drill bit first, say 4mm. Gradually increase the drill bit bore, each time 0.5mm. Lastly use 6.35mm drill bit. These seems time consuming work actually save time and make you a better boat.
